Will he really go to “La Chingada”?

We should be used to not believing him by now. Andrés Manuel López Obrador lies so much that his words no longer have any value. He is a contumacious, pathological liar.

Why believe that, as he said just last Friday in one of his matinees, that one thing is for him to retire and withdraw from politics, as he has stated on repeated occasions, and another is for him to disappear or choose to live somewhere other than Mexico?

I am sure that his “retirement” will be one more of his fallacies. Like the slogans, repeated ad nauseam — “brave honesty”, “do not steal, do not lie, do not betray” — that have proven that they only served as electoral distraction in the summer of 2018. When the population knew that they had fallen into the trap, reconsidered and delivered a resounding defeat in the local elections of the following year in the elections of several states in the center and north of the country.

Not to mention the results of the 2021 federal elections, where AMLO’s Movement declined after losing more than half of its stronghold, CDMX, and could not reach a qualified majority in the San Lázaro Palace.

And this was possible because everyone realized that the issue of the presidential plane, the promised recovery of VAT and ISR unfairly returned to a favorite group of businessmen — equivalent to almost a billion pesos to finance social programs –, the popular consultation offered to bring the country’s biggest criminals to trial turned out to be a spring dream. A chimera.

However, the great disappointments continued to accumulate: the social programs turned out to be a loot for the privileged of the system, the promised 6% annual growth of the gross domestic product was a fabulous monster, big capital fled, scared by the big mouth of the called “mornings”, and everything we already know.

The lavish fight against corruption only served to gain time and renew the elites in power –AMLO’s own children and nephews–, the defense of the rights of migrants was the disguise to repress them, while the boss’s orders were carried out in the search for re-election in the United States and here.

The crusade against hunger was the parapet to install it in all its horror among us. The promise to put Trump and all the enemies of popular development in their place was just a chimera to establish a chairopopulism and a Bolivarian experiment of which very few know it's true objective. Simply because no one knows how far they want to go.

Cuatroteros, narcissists of the worst kind

Q4 quickly became the Fourth Disappointment. The chimera, more fiercely than the monsters of Greek and Chinese mythology, is rampant among us and the only way to defeat it is neither with the spear of Bellerophon, nor with the help of Pegasus, his winged horse. Protecting tombs as animals conducive to dispersing evil spirits is no longer the solution.

Positive ideas to right the course of this right-wing populism are non-existent. The health, security, food, housing, education, and peaceful coexistence in freedom systems have been destroyed. Even the files of historical truths have been gifted by the Peñanietismo.

The Master Scam, Ayotzinapa and Odebrecht have been bequeathed by the attacked neoliberalism of Enrique Peña Nieto . And they have surpassed themselves with the enormous fraud against Segalmex and all the infrastructure works — the pharaonic works — entrusted to the Secretariat of National Defense where, to our horror, there has also been enormous corruption.

In the absence of knowledge of government and the courage to exercise power, everything has been inundated by a social cataclysm that has no reference in the modern history of the country.

The Cuatroteros did not turn out to be charismatic leaders, nor salvific, magnetic personalities, but rather narcissists of the worst kind. The theater fell since the immunity pact concluded since the time of the campaign with the most bloodthirsty cartels of militant drug trafficking, of pampered militarism, of the exclusive and ferocious society, was finalized in the public eye. The huachicoleo with the greatest substance in the fires of Tlahuelilpan… and on the northern borders of the country.

To make matters worse, the financial authorities of the Fourth Deception came out to proclaim, going back based on what was promised in electoral booths, that the only solution to get money is to increase taxes and borrow from abroad. Narcissists and taking advantage of hunger, illness, and popular pain, they always appear on stage under the shelter of José Ramón, Andrés Manuel (a) Andy , and Gonzalo (a) Bobby López Beltrán. They are the axes around whom their friends do fabulous businesses, selling medicines at exorbitant prices, ballast without the quality required for the laying of tracks for the Mayan Train that, in the end, if it derails “well, no way”…

‎We are in the hands of hucksters without an iota of compassion. They have come to take absolutely the little that remains. They want victory in all the more than 20 thousand public positions that will be voted on within five weeks to be able to carry out their Plan C: a new Constitution in which private property is limited or completely abolished, the destruction of the Judicial Branch and of all the counterweights that until today had prevented the head of the Federal Executive Branch from becoming a dictator.

And that’s why they don’t do anything else in the Palace. To govern, no joke. They have been planning for six years how to prolong the political life of the “leader” in perpetuity, even though he denies it, even though he says he will retire to “La Chingada.” They found the solution in a puppet that appears to be — we hope it really is not — Claudia Sheinbaum . And yes, they are plotting a way to make us all suffer for an unpredictable time.

Only the tsunami, the emergence of the popular and massive vote, will be able to contain them. Although on this side there are not thousands of suitcases of money to take people to vote.

A goal that who knows if they can achieve, since it has already been seen that, when it comes to strategies, people and programs are very close to zero.

The cascading price increases of popular foodstuffs, the almost irreversible deterioration of the health system, the terrible situation of economic indicators, the recurring massacres in the countryside and in the cities populate the panorama that is tinged with innocent blood. The radical abandonment of the budget in favor of the poor is a present-day roll call in a country that is drowning in improvisation, occurrences, and the errors of those appointed.
