The Mexican people have been too deceived throughout their history. Authoritarian mistreatment has made it too resistant to the lies of closed regimes, of obtuse rulers. Society is no longer there to blindly worship personality, even if it is — please don’t laugh — the president who occupies second place among the most popular in the world.

That’s not it. They circulate on social networks through bots, unpalatable memes, wanting to surprise, wanting to kill a snake on Friday, praise, and defense of the biggest liar in Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

Convincing, out of time, ridiculous. All these posts lack a basic minimum of common sense. None really responds to the terrible reality we suffer.

That of insecurity, for example. While from the stand placed in the National Palace so that AMLO can prescribe us a string of lies daily, these sibylline explanations offered lead only to a bloodbath, to the tacit acceptance that the regime is tied to dark and unknown designs, behind the popular will. It is still time to recognize it, the rest is irresponsible. It’s a trap with no way out.

Because we are already experiencing a tragedy of incalculable and unpredictable civil proportions. Beware of indignation, of violent response, of the reaction of the deceived and disappointed people!

Because the lies come from six-yearly empowered politicians, from favored businessmen, even from drug traffickers, as well as from chiefs and military commanders.

Every day there are sarcasms, murders, massacres. And not only between the different criminal groups that fight for this or that plaza. They don’t just kill ordinary citizens, like you, like me. The drug trafficker is already voting, killing the candidates who are not to his liking or who do not agree to be his accomplices or patrons.

Why, if the country is at peace, as AMLO and his Secretary of Citizen Security Rosa Icela Rodríguez boast at the matinees held in the National Palace, are there so many deaths? Hundreds every week.

This is the question… and it’s the answer that doesn’t mean your name.

Complicity with criminals?

As far as is known, organized crime and subversive terror have never been fought with prayers, not even in confessional states. Much less with hugs. In all latitudes it has been considered that this State bowed, that it was humiliated, that the Armed Forces are in a who lives.

All unsolicited explanations come with a bag of blatant accusations.

It’s no good playing tag when the grass is so dry, and the meadow can burn.

To continue blaming the holders of previous six-year terms when the one he heads is already ending is not to accept the basic error and this cannot be avoided with arguments arising from previous faults and even less from the worst of the authoritarian syndrome of single-person power, disdainful of the popular mandate. .

In a modern, informed society, there is no room for arguments that were already applied in other times, dominated by misinformation and ignorance about public affairs.

That was always the failure and the offense of the presidential regime that has already exhausted its viability, its reliability, which has already left the traces of its failure in peaceful governance. There is no point in assuming responsibility after the fact. The offense to common sense will prevail and will never be forgiven.

And yes, López Obrador’s people and their six in the morning meetings with what he calls the “security cabinet” only give blows to the blind, worse than those who caused the major mistake. No one, ever, is so infallible and credible to make decisions that are not accepted by the majority. The despotic smell no longer fits when the avalanche of evidence, shown around the world, has magnified the blunder.

Because in an era in which immediacy and informative evidence prevail, you must tread carefully. It is impossible and unsuccessful to act in the dark. Everything is known the instant it occurs.

Of their complicities? How much money will they receive for each hug they give to criminals? Of the distribution of the loot among them?
