On the horizon, the perfect storm

“Our economy is very solid, it is very strong,” said the formal President Claudia Sheinbaum without even blinking , after the collapse of the national currency immediately after Donald Trump ‘s electoral victory was announced.

But neither solid nor strong. This first slide in the peso is also the first warning of the crisis that is approaching on all fronts…

…due to the fear of national and foreign investors to invest in our country due to the legal uncertainty that is already a fact, and…

…because of the threats made by the Republican candidate who won the elections that he will impose tariffs on Mexican products exported to his country, and which we better start taking seriously.

For now, his comrade Elon Musk believed it and has already cancelled his much-vaunted investment in Nuevo León.

These two circumstances are signs of the arrival of the perfect storm that neither the President nor her team are prepared to even weather.

They are also the unmistakable signs of the prolonged social crisis that we have been going through for six, twelve, eighteen, twenty-four years, which will undoubtedly cause a catastrophe that will clearly show the limits of a regime that was never prepared to come to the aid of the great masses of the population. They groomed themselves to give away money, not to implement social policies.

We have reached the limits of politics. When a system is unable to resolve these age-old questions, it no longer has a reason to exist. When the State finds itself trapped by false dilemmas that privilege support for electoral supporters instead of thinking about helping the majority, the time has come to lower the curtain and stop so many lies.

The time has come to stand up and bravely confront the illusion of demagogy, populism, and the redemptive ideologies of 21st century narco-socialism that only cover the faces of the indolent. A country cannot be reduced to the charitable attention of allies on the barricades of misery, of those brought to the feasts of the cult of personality. That is only the characteristic of a regime of complacency.

Justice was exchanged for impunity

The shattered health service, destroyed by corruption, illusions of historical significance and the destruction of the past, even if it had served a purpose…

…plus, the incompetence in raising the money needed to meet the needs of the population employed in small and medium-sized businesses…

… plus, the informal population that accounts for almost seventy percent of the employed population…

…they demonstrate the lack of professionalism that will lead us to the place without limits.

The incessant production of misery in the country calls for indignation, rather than prevention since the latter does not have the elements to defend oneself. It is useless to know that an avalanche of violence, hatred and social resentment is coming, without historical parallel. We are, as always, out in the open.

And although it is the same population that voted to overcome the autocratic system of personalist presidentialism, where a single little man decides for everyone else, to whom they pay homage and unconditional submission, it no longer has anything to offer in this world. Unfortunately for us, the model no longer corresponds to this era.

The whole country is a powder keg right now. There is anger, protest and a desire for revenge. The production of misery does not stop at any time, nor does the string of errors. The broth is ready. Those currently marginalized by the crisis will be the judges and executioners of tomorrow, any tomorrow. And there will be no compassion, no mercy.

What we are going to experience in a brief time will be an unspeakable tragedy, unpredictable in its consequences, unimaginable in any regime of nature, ideology, or cruelty whatsoever.

Because the word crisis will no longer be enough to describe the abominable impunity, the plundering of crooks and the worldwide ridicule of a handful of frankly dangerous improvisers.

Instead of social policy, the economy was dried up, the bases of employment were destroyed, and the productive plant was destroyed. In addition, money was stolen for future midterm and presidential campaigns from the official party and its ad lateres . With the only money in circulation, that of drug trafficking and remittances, it is not going anywhere.

Resentment will be born from the memory that justice was exchanged for impunity. That the nation’s biggest criminals were given a lavish blank check and the authorization to continue to thrive and do their thing against the grain of whatever, if it protected the futuristic ambitions and political interests of the little leader who gives orders from the shadows.

All because of the arrogance and ignorance of the 4T

The crisis is, in fact, political. Social anger can overwhelm all the meager capabilities of a deaf, blind and mute regime that has never understood the magnitude of the problem that is before its eyes.

Now, it must be reiterated, justice will come into its own hands, replacing the denied official provision.

Family disintegration due to desperation, hunger and anguish.

Street robbery to obtain a means of sustenance, because people eat daily.

Fuenteovejuna is a desperate town. All together!

Invasions of ranches, common lands and productive units, assaults on trains, trucks with food, materials and people, occupation of urban properties, parachuting and uprising of lost cities, systematic looting of department stores, warehouses and cellars with food and supplies. When you touch the bull’s balls, this country is too violent, too righteous in the most basic way.

Kidnappings, murders, executions at express request, roadblocks and rural roads, countless new types of property tax, bribes and extortion. Lynchings of people and authority figures, confinement of exclusive territories for regional and municipal armed groups, collection of unofficial taxes on the movement of goods and people.

Supplanting and replacing authorities through procedures of uses and customs, extraordinary implementation of martial laws and states of exception limited to territories and communities dominated by de facto powers, legitimized by pressing and urgent need.

A real empire of terror and jungle laws, confiscation by force of wine cellars, warehouses and private or collective property deposits, as well as the slaughter of cattle for the consumption of the invaders, submission of the former patriarchs and chieftains to the new powers. The bodyguards will join this concept of vindication.

All because of the mistakes made. For not having supported the productive plant and employment in time, for not reducing the tax payments for wage earners, for wanting to play the finger in the mouth of the informal workers, cannon fodder for the Morena ballot boxes.

All because of prejudice, pride, ignorance, stupidity.

I hope I’m wrong. Unfortunately, they put the rope in the hanged man’s house.

Clues

Well, daddy AMLO said that he always did… and the President formally rushed to congratulate the Republican Trump with a post on Elon Musk’s social network… she sent him a letter congratulating him on his victory at the polls… and even called him on the phone. Hours before, Claudia Sheinbaum had said that she would not be informed of the result of the US elections until “the electoral bodies” –which do not exist in the US– took for granted that the Republican had been the winner. She regretted her own words. * * * That’s all for today. As always, my appreciation to you for having read up to these lines and my best wishes for you to have good graces and many, many days!
