Better that Sheinbaum “governs” by decree

By eliminating the controls that the 1917 Constituent Assembly granted to the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation so that it loses the powers with which it could review and even invalidate the constitutional reforms of Morena…

…and with a vassal legislature, kneeling at the feet of President Claudia Sheinbaum, who, to approve the Federal Executive’s initiatives “on the fly”, does not even read them and does not change even a comma in its opinions…

…the best thing would be that, finally, we taxpayers save a lot of resources and eliminate for the last time those two Powers that only hinder and stop the speed with which the Transformation must be applied.

Let Princess Claudia, still a contender for the throne of Andrés Manuel the First, begin to rule by decree!

This wouldn’t be the first time.

When the president of Mexico lost his majority in Congress in 1997, he set aside the legislature and began to govern by agreements and decrees that did not have to go through the lengthy, bureaucratic, and cumbersome process of the Chambers. After a while we realized that it was not the same, but it could be the same.

So why have an expensive Congress that does whatever it wants anyway, wasting the valuable resource of time on long, unproductive, trivial discussions?

What is the point of a judiciary, if the Princess decides when the laws are not obeyed and when they are?

Because Sheinbaum already acts like medieval monarchs, of whom it was said that it was God himself who invested them with indisputable, unassailable powers.

By the grace of the 4T –not of the dubious 36 million voters– here AMLO also inherited monarchical, dictatorial, fascist authoritarianism.

And see if this is not the case when History shows us the decree of the Reichstag fire as the most prominent example of AMLO-type actions, Sheinbaum style.

You know this well. Adolf Hitler persuaded German President Paul von Hindenburg to issue a decree suspending basic civil rights indefinitely.

And because of this decree, the Nazi authorities were able to constitutionally suppress or imprison their opposition, which in turn paved the way for the one-party rule of the Third Reich, resulting in a state of emergency, which suspended the Constitution without revoking it, until the end of that nightmare.

Already in this 21st century, in the greatest exponent of Latin American narco-socialism, Venezuela, President Hugo Chávez received the Executive Power of the National Assembly to govern by decree on multiple occasions throughout his term of government, approving hundreds of laws.

His successor, Nicolás Maduro, has also ruled by decree on several occasions since he took power in April 2013.

The examples are not good, but they are what they are.

Claudia is not yet the tlatoani

Because she is an environmentalist “expert in making wood stoves” emit less smoke into the environment, because she follows her predecessor’s guidelines without question, and because she is very poorly advised, President Sheinbaum may be unaware of what she unconsciously and firmly puts into practice, just as her PRI predecessors did… although reloaded , since no president has ever dared to disobey the law and also flaunt it in public.

The Mexican presidential system was born on the day that Lázaro Cárdenas expelled Plutarco Elías Calles from the country. Since then, the emblematic figure of the tlatoani began to function as the supreme control unit. All forms of organization converged there.

A range of political scientists, university professors and power theorists, from John F. Padgett to Jean Meynaud, reviewing our presidential system, agreed that it is based on the absolute discipline of all actors, around a single person and his alleged political infallibility.

Today, Sheinbaum is not yet the tlatoani.

And the worst thing is that she is not yet the one before whom the four-pieces discipline themselves.

We all know who ordered the constitutional reforms that were announced on February 5th.

We also know who was wrong in believing that with its current powers the Court could not overturn Plan C.

And we no longer realized who ordered the Magna Carta to be patched again, so that the SCJN does not overturn its whims because of its many frustrations.

Yes. It is AMLO who still rules, and who if he makes a mistake, rules again.

Hopefully the still formal President will rectify and, as Tata Lázaro did, she will dare to assume power, now seriously, so that she can establish her own style, which, I presume, would not be the same as that of the latter.

Because you should also know that all the economic models built in Mexico over the last 85 years (authoritarian populism, primary capitalism, growth of elites, stabilizing development, shared development with state intervention, demagogic presidentialism, neoliberalism, decline of presidentialism, fourth transformation) were based on the charisma of a single person.

As the real head of the Executive, he should truly show his charisma and take charge of defining the general interest and its practical application.

And yes, it may still be the last resort, the conciliator and executor of the impossible in Mexico, but always respecting the law, before Plan C perverted it

Hopefully.

Clues

Sheinbaum celebrated that the TEPJ has given the green light to the INE to move forward with the preparations to elect judges. “The constitutional reform to the Judicial Branch is a decision of the people of Mexico and this continues with the resolution of the electoral court. It is particularly good that it gives certainty to this process.” * * * That is all for today. My thanks to you for having read this text and, as always, I wish you good thanks and many, many days!
