And is the party over for AMLO?
Censored by the violent Franco regime –as was the entire massive musical production of Joan Manuel Serrat , inspired by the verses of Machado , Hernández and the great Spanish poets of the Republic–, La Fiesta , by his authorship, is a premonitory song that speaks of the death throes of the expired eras and announces the inevitable appearance of new times, possibly impregnated with negative balances or great hopes:
“.. And with a hangover on his back / The poor man returns to his poverty / The rich man returns to his wealth / And the priest returns to his masses.
“Good and evil awoke / The poor fox at the door / The rich fox at the rosebush / And the miser at the currency
“It’s over / The Sun tells us that the end has come…”
The violent military boot of the Galician dictator Francisco Franco persecuted all expressions that spoke of another panorama, different from the seal that he imposed for 39 years, sharply dividing Spanish society.
Any parallel with Andrés Manuel López Obrador, of course, is not a mere coincidence. The Tabasco native polarized the always divided Mexican society. And he has already imposed the military boot.
But, of course, the party ends, even if it is sustained for many years by the hollow phrases full of lies of all the matinees starring AMLO. In all latitudes of despotism, extremes touch, but in Mexico they unite to ring the bell that calls for lynching.
He says yes, the party is over. But that’s just a saying. He has done everything in his power, and even what he can’t, to continue exercising power from “La Chingada.”
The worst thing is that even Claudia Sheinbaum is “moved to tears” when she writes a post in which she says that AMLO “is leaving, but he is not leaving” in a trait of originality? that evokes Pope John Paul II when he said goodbye to his Mexican parishioners.
The reality is that the party continues unstoppable. It will not be six but twelve years that the so-called Fourth Transformation will serve to deepen the structural decomposition of the country, the servile decadence, the unprecedented surrender, the unrestrained plundering of a caste of inexperienced and improvised people who believe they have arrived to stay in power for ever and ever.
The Fourth Transformation, which Mrs. Sheinbaum will try to build on the second floor designed by architect López Obrador — hopefully it won’t collapse — has pushed the country into the desperate region, where no possible remedy can be found. They have capitalized on the bitterness and disqualification. They have split society in two: the 36 million who approve of AMLO’s management, surely because of the favors received, and the more than 64 million — the sum of the electoral roll — who disapprove of it, including even the children surveyed. A supreme shame.
Owners of power, dissatisfied
The 4T is already fodder for the beasts. It has earned it. In the United States, and I am not referring to Biden or Trump or Harris , but to the interests seriously damaged by the lack of word and government operation against crime — in addition to the risks that capitalists with interests in Mexico will have to go through due to the absence of legal security — they are showing their claws to judicially tear apart the four-handed gangsters who have broken all records of greed and ambition, as well as untrustworthy surrender.
The real owners of power, the economic one, demand a large share of satisfaction, as do the people here, who wonder if the country will be able to pay all the very expensive campaign bills, extended by the nameless laziness and unbridledness of this party of mentally retarded people, dressed up as idiot leaders.
The forces of the right and ignorant greed that have provoked the country’s anger, generating a heavy atmosphere of tension, uncertainty and revenge, must acknowledge their moral defeat at the ballot box from now on. There is no other option. The opposite would lead to fratricidal struggle, which will never be tolerated by the owners of the country.
Because based on hard data, Morena’s supposed electoral victory could only be sustained by the prevailing unrest in the electoral bodies and courts, which have acted in the shadows of betrayal, enduring the schemes of those who shamelessly hand over the national heritage to their executioners. Total folly and ignorance.
And yet they applaud him
Ninety years ago, Bertold Brecht defined the “political illiterate” as the worst… the one who “does not hear, does not speak, does not participate in political events. He does not know that the cost of living, the price of beans, fish, flour, rent, shoes and medicines… depend on political decisions…
…the political illiterate, he said, is such an animal that he is proud and puffs out his chest when he says that he hates politics. The imbecile does not know that from his ignorance comes prostitution, the abandoned child, the robber and the worst of bandits: the opportunistic, deceitful and corrupt politician, lackey of national and multinational companies.” That was the end of the German philosopher.
Indeed, when ignorance takes hold of a leader or a gang of outcasts, Brecht’s premonition takes on the appearance of a general theory. The phrase envelops, like a whirlwind, a way of being, of living and of subjecting any society to the whim of ignorance, by way of corruption, even if it has done nothing to deserve it.
That is why the Morena herds, starting with the man who will be President of the Republic next week, applaud him, obey him blindly and repeat in chorus that “it is an honor to be with Obrador.”
Not to mention the needy who receive electoral pensions from the so-called Welfare. They even cheer the big lies that Mexico already has a health system “better than Denmark’s,” when they are the first ones who run to the pharmacies in search of a diagnosis and medicines to cure their illness.
AMLO is, without a doubt, a “political illiterate” followed by millions of his fellow “illiterates.”
Let the party continue!
